Title: ASA seeks editor for: Internationalizing Sociology in the Age of Globalization

The Teaching Resource Center of The American Sociological Association commissions sociologists to put together sets of teaching materials, particularly syllabi sets that can be used by other professors and instructors to enhance their classes.  ASA is currently working to update some of our existing manuals.  We very much like to keep these volumes up to date both in terms of bibliographic references and teaching strategies.  This enhances their utility and keeps them at a high professional standard.

We are currently seeking an editor/editors for a new edition of:  Internationalizing Sociology in the Age of Globalization.

ASA holds the copyright to all the publications in the Teaching Resources Center.  Therefore, the new editor(s) would be able to pull material from the previous edition, properly cited.  Articles from ASA journals can also be used.  We are very proud of the TRC and believe that  Internationalizing Sociology in the Age of Globalization is a core book in our catalog.  We stand ready to help with publicity and in the solicitation of materials via Footnotes, the ASA homepage, etc.  Our goal would be to have this revision in time for the 2006 Annual Meeting  or for the new year (2007).

If you are interested in editing this volume, or know someone who may be interested please reply to this email privately (apap @ asanet.org)
