VISITING
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF
SOCIOLOGY
Wright State University seeks a candidate for a
visiting assistant professor
position within the Department of Sociology who can offer courses in
the areas
of criminology/criminal justice and statistics/methods.
The non-tenure track appointment will start September 1, 2006. An
A.B.D. or M.A. in Sociology or a related graduate
degree is required. Ph.D. in Sociology is
preferred. Preference will be given to
those with college teaching experience.
Teaching
responsibilities include nine classes per year, three per quarter. Applicants should provide a letter of
application, a curriculum vitae, student evaluations of teaching, peer
evaluation of teaching if available, syllabi of previously taught
courses, and
three current letters of recommendation.
First
consideration
begins June 2, 2006, and
continues until the position is filled. Submit
