SUNY Potsdam Position Announcement

The Department of Sociology seeks applicants for a one-semester visiting 
position beginning August 28, 2006. Rank will depend upon 
qualifications; PhD is preferred, ABDs will be considered for 
appointment at the Instructor level.  Our eight-person department serves 
over 200 majors and offers minors in Criminal Justice and Society and 
Human Services. We also coordinate an interdisciplinary Criminal Justice 
major and participate in the Women's Studies, Environmental Studies, and 
Africana Studies programs. We are seeking a faculty member committed to 
quality undergraduate teaching, scholarship, and professional growth and 
development.  The successful candidate will teach two sections of 
criminology and two other courses to be determined by the candidate’s 
strengths and the departmental needs.

 

Normal teaching load is 12 credits per semester. Send vita, cover letter
