Hello All, I hope everything is well.
I am asking for suggestions for ANY monograph for my Introduction to Sociology. However, I am looking for the following: one, it must be by a sociologist; two i would like the research utilized in the book to include a relatively larger sample size (Mary Water's Ethnic Options or Lynn Davidman's Tradition in a Rootless World: Women Turn to Orthodoxy come to mind as nice examples); three, I'd like the book to have come out in the last 5-6 years; four, of course I really need a readable engaging book. In addition to a reader, I am using The McDonaldization of Society, Inside Toyland or Damned Lies and Statistics. I do not care if the 4th monograph is on food or family or education or whatevever --- I just would like it to fulfill the specifications above (for a variety of longwinded reasons that are sure to bore). Thanks for any advice. Saludos de Mexico!
