For what it's worth since we talked about it a while back...

..I just turned on King of the Hill... Hank's dog bit the (black) repair
person...in a search for answers, Hank's black colleague has im take the
IAT online. Tthe test says he has a strong pref. for whites.

Not sure how the episode will end..but if KotH is your thing...or you're
using the IAT, it might be useful in some slightly silly way.

Hi, everyone.

I'm currently revising the Instructors' Manual for Kimmel and Messner's MEN'S LIVES, 2007, 6th edition.  It's based on a version of the Kolb experiential learning model and includes:
  • reflection questions for writing/sharing responses
  • values clarification exercises
  • learning objectives, key terms, presentation suggestions, film/video recommendations, and Internet resources
  • structured group exercises and suggestions for informal practice
  • writing assignments, campus organizing suggestions, and service learning possibilities
  • exam questions (MC, TF, and essay)
Any favorite exercise, assignment, video and/or Internet suggestion on topics of men and masculinities (TOC attached) you might send would be welcomed and gratefully acknowledged if used.

Reply to the list, if you'd like to share and discuss ideas, or reply directly to me.

If you'd like to see the table of contents for MEN'S LIVES 7/e, find it attached.  But, whether you look at this, the previous IM version, you've used the book, or not, I 'd love the chance to serve our discipline by including your favorite exercise or resource.

The previous IM version, last revised by Amy Aronson for the 6th edition, can be downloaded from:

(you'll need to register for an Allyn & Bacon password, if you don't have one).

Thanks,

Michael
