Le Moyne College. The Department of Anthropology, Criminology and Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminology to begin the fall, 2007 pending budgetary approval. We are looking for a person with a Ph.D. in criminology or other closely related fields with an emphasis in criminological theory or systems. A law degree is not considered an appropriate terminal degree for this position. Doctoral students who are ABD and who are nearing completion of the dissertation will also be considered. Teaching experience and evidence of teaching effectiveness is required. The candidate will be expected to teach six sections during the year including the following theoretically-based courses: introduction to criminology and crime & justice studies, criminology, and juvenile delinquency. We will begin reviewing materials October 15, 2006 and will continue until the position is filled.
