Hi, Teresa - My institution belongs to CUR and I went to one of their meetings four years ago and then had one of my undergrads present a poster at the annual poster session in Washington.

I found it to be a very positive experience. There is a lot of information on integrating research into curriculum and developing independent programs explicitly for the purpose of fostering collaborative student-faculty research or more "independent study" type research. There is an emphasis on research across the disciplines and not just the psych/bio stuff that usually gets done. There is strong encouragement for the social sciences and an agenda for their increased involvement. It is also a friendly place for presentation. I presented with a couple of my colleagues and we are presently developing our talk into a publication for their newsletter. What else would you like to know?
