Has anyone used Sandra Barnes' The Cost of Being Poor: A Comparative Study of Life in Poor Urban Neighborhoods in Gary, Indiana in an undergraduate stratification course? I'm considering it for our senior-level course on Stratification & Poverty and would appreciate any feedback you might give.
