Thanks to everyone who responded about locating the particular "Power of an
Illusion" segment on DNA. Our library has this series in VHS, and I
haven't seen them yet because I've been using "Understanding Race" coupled
with a relatively short PrimeTime Live segment called "True Colors" about
the experiences of two men in a Missouri town as they try to find housing,
shop, get help with their cars, find jobs and buy cars. I try to make the
point that although race is merely a social construct, in which we assign
meaning to what we perceive to be physical differences between us, social
constructs are powerful. I think the DNA segment of the "Illusion" video
might be more compelling, from what y'all have said.
