To Erik's question about how this is superior to chatb: appear.in works on my machine and chatb doesn't!
Erik also asked: "The room management functionality sounds handy but not sure this is actually an issue in practice?" Knowing that I *can* kick a misbehaver out of a room makes me a lot more likely to want to use an anyone-can-join-any-chat videoconferencing facility.
