Hi Keith, and everyone, I managed to get some lunch. Brain working better now. I wanted to send you a quick note, but I'll be away from internet until I get to the bookstore.
Given what you've suggested, and given that I probably want to use a tablet / pc browser for a full featured dynamic user interface, what books do you think might be the most useful? javascript? html5? ajax? Or ... gulp ... all three? I'd like to avoid client side java, but I'm willing to use javascript. I don't know if all browsers would support html5.
