I just dropped Zimbra for cost reasons, but while we were using it, I liked it. Very easy to use, good web interface for users, good client sync tools, and very robust and reliable. I ran it on Ubuntu, and like someone else mentioned, they're good at supporting it on the LTS versions. Support won't even talk to you if you're not running on a supported OS.
My only complaint was I thought there could be better bulk user management tools, but it wasn't a showstopper.
