Did you unplug it from power during your cleaning? If so, check for bad capacitors...unplugging the unit from power source causes them to lose their stored charge. I have had this happen on a PE SC1420 where as long as unit was plugged in it worked. But once unplugged, the bad caps were dead.....there is an outfit (www.badcaps.net) that will replace all bad caps on a mobo for around $50-$60 plus shipping.
Site also has interesting general info about bad capcitors...[http://www.badcaps.net/pages.php?vid=4 ] as well as info on how to spot bad caps [ http://www.badcaps.net/pages.php?vid=5 ] THIS TRANSMISSION IS INTENDED AND RESTRICTED FOR USE BY THE ABOVE ADDRESSEE ONLY. Now that I have put it back in place it will not boot. It doesn't POST, the hard drives light up but do not spin up. I get this orange blinky light on the front but nothing comes on the screen to tell me what is wrong. I've reseated the RAM and every other card on the board twice, popped the CMOS battery, and hit the reset button on the mobo. Any other ideas before I give this box its last rites?
