I really enjoyed the Midwest Moodle Moot this year.

There was a wide variety of sessions, for the Moodle beginner through
advanced admin, as well as several sessions that focused more on topics
like "now what do I do with it in my school" rather than the sessions
that geeks usually attend where the focus is "how do we do it."
Very interesting to attend the keynote and see Martin Dougiamas in
person. I don't get to see a whole lot of "celebrities", but like I
expected... he's just a regular guy... eats lunch and everything. ;)
Today or tomorrow I plan to type up some notes about some of the things
I picked up. I came away with a ton of addon modules that I want to get
added into our Moodle server.
I'm already planning to attend next year, and hope to take a couple
teachers with me.
