On the command line it's just /images

Go to /, then you'll see images if you run the ls command.

I used scp to copy across servers. For example:

scp -r /images/imagedirname r...@server:/images/

This is running on the server the image is on with the destination being the 
server to copy to. You'll have to add the server info to the first part if 
you're sitting at the server you want to copy the image to:

scp -r r...@server:/images/imagedirname /images/

The -r switch for scp is for recursive, which will copy everything within that 
directory, including subdirectories.
