We went to NutriKids last year. They have an on-line portal--MyNutrikids.com--where parents can make payments and track purchases. A Windows app running on a separate box acts as the intermediary between the local database and the online system. We run an automated export out of PowerSchool, dropping the file onto a network share accessible to NutriKids, and then the app runs a scheduled import of student demo data. The actual cut-over took place over a couple of days last February and went well. One of the only wrinkles we encountered was that they use Paypal for processing transactions and, though parents don't have to have a Paypal account to pay, the website gave some the impression they did. -Tom -- Tom Donovan Chief Technology Officer Aptakisic-Tripp SD 102 Buffalo Grove, IL | Subscription info at http://www.tech-geeks.org |
