Our meal apps ask the parent to specify income and then what that number
represents: weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc... Our meal app programs
calculates the total, but I believe the official state tables use monthly
incomes.

Subject: [tech-geeks] Powerlunch question for Illinois Schools

I posted this on the PSUG, as well, but this list usually gets answers back
quickly. We are implementing PowerLunch for the first time this year and the
cafeteria director tells me that in order to set free/reduced, we have to use
yearly income (and she has talked to our auditor). Unfortunately, Powerlunch
uses monthly. I have 2 questions.

1) Is it true that in Illinois you have to use yearly? I am finding charts
that list the monthly income.

2) If it is indeed true, is there a way around this?

Thanks, Joe
