Consider configuring the cameras to a lower resolution and for a minimal 
frames per second.  I would also put the security cameras on a separate 
VLAN to separate that traffic from the rest of your network.

Why does he want to watch rooms from home?  Who is is trying to "trap"?  
Or is he just overly paranoid?
