IE Settings can be set up in preference mode which causes settings to stick even after you remove the policy that set them. You either have to have a GP that explicitly sets the proxy to none or run the IE settings in maintenance mode with the settings turned off also. You can also run a login/startup script that removes the registry key depending on if the setting was user or computer based. Google "ie group policy maintenance preference" to get more info about dealing with IE settings and GP. Bob

Took DG down and thought I removed the item from group policy, however it's still checking the proxy server box for everyone that logs in (at least one time). Anyone have any ideas where to shut this off?
