Anyone using more then one keypad on a computer ,with Skyward's food services?

We had it running last year just fine. Over the summer, we purchased touch
screens, for the cafeteria workers, so
we decided to give them a little better computers, well, now we can't get the
stupid keypads to work correctly in
Skyward. I called them and they were NOOOO help, the guy just blames it on the
keypads and hardware and says he can't help me.

The keypads area genavation 623 serial keypads. I only have 1 serial port, so
I use a USB -to-Serial adapter, for the other one. I can load the Gen623
software, and the keypads work fine in every app that I can try. When I go
into Skyward, and go to setup the 2 keypad, it says it can't communicate with
the Com port because it's in use.

Anyone run into anything like this? I can possibly use USB, but I have issues
with that also. If I use two USB keypads, when students are on both sides, and
both students type in numbers, it doesn't just choose the left or the right
side, it combines them. So if the student on 1 side starts typing his code
into the system, before the student on side B is done, it will mess things up.

Just curious if anyone else has run into issues. I need this fixed ASAP, but
have NOOO clue how to even start since Skyward would not help me.

Thanks
Chris
