THANKS - I did get it by using
To Check Level
config show smb
Change CONFIG
config setprop smb OsLevel 11
signal-event workgroup-update
signal-event post-upgrade
signal-event reboot
I tried OsLevel 30 but still failed (maybe I did not wait long enough.
ANYWAY - seems to be working now.
hank you and I will keep your notes.
Terry

you can set the os level in 7.4 by
# config setprop smb OsLevel 30
#expand-template /etc/samba/smb.conf
#/etc/init.d/smb reload
#/etc/init.d/smb restart

Subject: [tech-geeks] SME "master browser"
Does anyone have the config for SME 7.4
To either
LOWER the SAMBA OS Level or turn off samba?
Reading contrib.org I found that the default OS Level within the SME
Samba configuration is 35. The default OS Level for a Windows 2003
server is 32. The higher number wins. My SME server is winning the
Master Browser election. It has recently started causing me problems.
I known the OS Level is set in smb.conf but I never mastered creating
template for the config files. I just need to make sure it is less than
32.
Thanks,
Terry
