AVG gives fair protection at a fair price, which is why our school uses it, and that's why the free version is so popular. But let's be honest, AVG is not the best product available. Not even in the top three. I can't see myself making any effort to recommend it to other schools or education consumers. It's not quite *that* good.
I understand that companies need to market their products, and I don't have a problem with that. But I'm not on your marketing staff, so don't expect me to "sell" your product to others, not even for a 'kickback' in savings or donations. I feel I've already done enough marketing for the company by placing the AVG icon in front of hundreds of users every day. Really, we should be receiving your product for free, not just at discount. So my recommendations would be... 1) Pour additional funds into product improvement - a better product will inevitably increase sales. 2) Give your best AVG product to schools for free. Not only will this give you bragging rights, but each educational placement puts your brand in front of hundreds of potential current and future customers every single day. Just my honest opinion, since you asked.
