Nate's solution is going to be the cheapest and easiest to do then.  Get an ATA 
adapter and be done.

Cordless phones with a base station would be the next most reliable.

We bought some wifi Linksys voip phones to play with that are no longer 
manufactured but it was kind of a novelty when we bought them because we don't 
have large scale wireless installed and the battery goes down on that thing 
like nobody's business!

We have a Avaya IP 500 phone system all IP.  All the super wants is a 'Cordless 
Phone', NOT wireless.

do we have to string a analog line through to hook it up?  I been told afew
