I've found that importing directly from Word puts a bunch of extra _CRAP_ into the article. I've found it much cleaner to export from Word -> Notepad -> Joomla. Most end users won't understand this extra step, so I end up cleaning up a bunch of articles. This makes for a much cleaner looking page. You don't end up w/ different fonts, etc. on each article.
