I think you're probably on the right track thinking about using the
Kindle for PC, since a given iPad app has to be written to support VGA
out in order to work that way.  Only by jailbreaking the iPad (which
of course you wouldn't do, in your official capacity, right...?) can
you project whatever is being displayed on the iPad's screen.
