I would agree that the Bretford PowerSync cases are not an "economical" way to store and sync 6 iPod touches.... This is really designed for teachers who are mobile and work in smaller classroom settings... such as literacy coaches, special ed teachers who need to carry them from building to building.
If I had 6 iPod touches, I'd probably get creative and build something using a USB hub and a hard cover case. <http://www.frys.com/product/1800610?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG> When it's more than 7 iPod touches, which exceeds the ports on a hub, I'd weigh the benefit of a Bretford case versus syncing multiple sets of iPods. The thing you don't really have to worry about is that the iPod touches have tremendous battery life so you don't have to charge them every single day.
