The account was probably hijacked. My mom's account got hijacked a couple
weeks ago. Received similar emails. She changed her password right away and
no one in the family has seen any spam from her since.

Subject: [tech-geeks] strange spam from valid yahoo users

Last week I got 1 email from frie...@yahoo.com that had others in her address
book as recipients.
It was spam. The content was mostly blank.

This week I got 1 from my sister's yahoo account and it had some of her other
contacts as recipient.
Again it was spam.

I looked at the mime and it say's it's from a yahoo email server.

So how did web mail get infected with a spam engine?
