Chris -
It has been over a year since I've done this, but it seems to me that they want
you to have the full client installed now. You also have to have the correct
version of Java installed. I just checked one of my Program Servers and it has
a service SKYDASv2 running. The path to executable is:
C:\WINDOWS\srvutil.exe SKYDASv2 run "C:\Program
Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_16\bin\Java" -Xmx128M -Xrs -cp e:\skyward\usi2\das
com.skyward.DAS.DAS 2701
I don't remember the command to register the service to begin with but I
believe you could probably find it in one of the scripts for upgrading to
Monolith 2. I believe the Monolith 2 upgrade instructions also tell you how to
figure out the correct parameters to use (ie 128M and 2701)
Not sure how much this helps but perhaps it will give you some things to try.

Subject: [tech-geeks] Skyward - New Program Server

I'm wanting to setup a new program server for our District office. They always
just used remote desktop, but now
I'm wanting them to have their own Program server at the Unit Office building.

I've looked all over Skyward's site, and can't find any doc's on how to install
it.

All my previous documents were for Progress 9 and Monolith 1.
Now that we are on OE10 and Monolith 2, nothing even remotely matches my
documents.

I've created the Skyward folder and shared it. Now, S:\
I've extracted the latest version of Skyward =v10d099.skyrel and the
v10d099p01.skypmp

I've gone into Monolith2 on the server and created a new DAS (Actually just
cloned another windows server, and changed the IP/Name).

What next???

I'm assuming I have to create a DAS Service on the Windows Server, but not for
sure on how to do that?

I'm at a stand still right now, I've got a call into Skyward, but the last time
the guy just emailed me the link to install
the Client installers.

I didn't know if any of you had any home-made how-to's for setting up servers
with Skyward.

Thanks
Chris
