He wants to give users the option to cancel though. Shutdown.exe can’t do that.
I rolled out poweroff to TRY to accomplish this and here is the one glitch: If you put poweroff in the startup folder so it’s started as the user when they login they will get the option to cancel the shutdown. If it’s started as a service or other user, the user will not get the option to cancel. Of course, if it’s just in the startup folder then it won’t run and won’t shutdown machines that are not logged in. In the end, I installed it via group policy to shut the machines down at 11pm. It won’t prompt, but nobody is here generally that late. http://users.telenet.be/jbosman/applications.html Curtis McKay Network Administrator Belleville Township High School District 201 cmc...@bths201.org<mailto:cmc...@bths201.org> From: tech-geeks-boun...@tech-geeks.org [mailto:tech-geeks-boun...@tech-geeks.org] On Behalf Of Michael T.
