...and what are the ramifications if it isn't complete?

We are doing the best we can and I am almost positive we will meet the deadline
but seriously, what happens to those that don't make it?

Actually it's not. I called them (Howard H.) after I posted this email and
found that all of this information needs to be posted to ISBE SIS by the
deadline. He did clarify that if they are returning students then they already
have the info from last year so we only have to worry about any "new" students.
That helps substantially "BUT" we still have 300 new students to process (get
tested, make determinations regarding their program indicators) and get all of
the data entered into our local SIS. If you look at the program indicators
there are quite a few determinations that must be made for each and every
student.

Bob, you're looking at that wrong. Our first day of submission of all of that
info is 08/01/10 but the 10/15/10 deadline is ONLY for School Year Enrollments.
The rest of the data you speak up isn't due until later dates. Just look at
the pdf/powerpoint available at ISBE for planning for the school year 2011.

Is it just me or does anyone see a problem with this deadline in that we must
have all demographics (including the new federal race requirements),
enrollment, program indicators, ELL, homeless and early childhood data ready to
go for upload by October 15th? That puts a lot of stress on your people to
get every student identified properly (Program indicators), tested (ELL),
screened/assessed for early childhood and homeless, let alone get all the data
entry done........all by this date? It's especially difficult for those
districts who started late (Our first day of school was August 26th).
