The installer automatically uses the currently installed license. The
installation process is pretty long and requires a reboot. It wants to install
Yahoo toolbar by default. It completely uninstalls 9.0 and then installs the
new version AVG 2011 (or AVG 10) after reboot.

If you're using the remote administration component, it verifies the remote
admin server address and communication port, however it could not communicate
to my version 9 Admin server even though it was using the same ports. I had to
upgrade the Admin server before communication was re-established. Thankfully,
my AVG 9 workstations continued to communicate with the AVG 10/2011 Admin
server.

Upgrade of the Admin server was painless but also took a while. I chose to
upgrade the database instead of creating a new one.

Other than the desktop widget on my Windows 7 workstation, a slightly modified
user interface, and the shiny new icon in the system tray, I haven't seen much
change. I'm installing on several workstations to see if there are any speed
improvements. A GX280 with WinXP seems to start up a little faster than before
- maybe wishful thinking. Too early to tell.

They let me download with my current license.
