This is what Matt offered earlier on the list, but I assume his method now
is easier:

Copy default profile - Windows 7

- Install WAIK (Windows Automated Installation Kit) for
appropriate MS OS on your computer

- Copy install.wim and install_windows 7 enterprise.clg to
c:\temp on your own desktop, found on the DVD under DVD:\sources

- In the Windows Image pane right click and choose "Select
Windows Image", browse to c:\temp\install.wim

- Under the same Windows Image pane, expand "Components" to find
Microsoft_Windows_Shell_Setup

- Right click Microsoft_Windows_Shell_Setup and choose "Add
setting to Pass 4 specialize"

- In the right hand pane change "CopyProfile" to "true"

- Save answer file to temp directory as unattend-copyprofile.xml

- Copy the unattend-copyprofile.xml file to the computer that is
being changed to c:\windows\system32\sysprep

- Next open a command prompt and type the following:

o C:\windows\system32\sysprep\sysprep.exe /generalize
/unattend:c:\windows\system32\sysprep\unattend-copyprofile.xml

- A sysprep window will open choose generalize and shutdown

- Computer will go through a few settings and shutdown. You
will be request to create a new user for the system, as it's an out of
box install, any user that logs in will get the modified default user
profile, not sure if can get around making a new user will have to try
the next setup we do.

A good teacher is like a candle - it consumes itself to light the way for
others.

poor adaptations of incomplete ideas."
