I am thrilled to be typing this while connected to one of my new HP Access Points, but I was surprised to find there was not rack mounting hardware for the controller.
It seems that HP ProCurve MSM710 Controllers do not come with a Rack Mounting Kit and part number J9404A is just an extra $35 item... Right now the controller is sitting on top of the switch below it in/on the rack where it will be - but I must say I was surprised come install day that a.) it is a completely separate part (I do not want a spare or replacement - the original as the controller does not come with racking brackets - just screw holes...and it is a non-standard size) and b.) that it was not mentioned in the original bid (we just put in ubiquitous wireless access in my small Jr./Sr. High and now that everything is here, I find I am missing a $35 part... :( --Michael T.
