OK. Since this is turning into an exchange of anecdotes, this one is
also true.
We had an Ag teacher at a former district about 1980. He had no control
over the class - at all. The kids locked him in the tool room during
first hour. We discovered it at about 1:00 PM when he didn't show up
in the lounge at lunch time. (He never missed talking in the lounge
during lunch.) He was locked in the tool room for 4 hours. (Of
course, this was before cell phones and phones in every classroom.)

At least you were still in the car and doing what you were supposed to be
doing. I had an English teacher that would get done with her lesson and
give the next day's assignment and then fall asleep at her desk. It wasn't
often that anyone stayed in that class for the remainder of the period. I
don't think anyone every got in hot water for it either. Even the kids who
wouldn't normally do anything without permission refused to stay in that
classroom.

One of my drivers ed instructors would fall asleep in the car. He was in his
60s. One time he fell asleep and we just kept on driving right into the next
class period. He wasn't too happy with us when he woke up. :)

I had a science teacher who would always fall asleep lecturing. A student

at the overhead and start lecturing at the top of the page. It was pretty
funny.

Thought it was "Teachers" but couldn't remember. We can all relate to a
teacher we had - or one we work with not - who is not too far from that.

What movie was it where the teacher who was nicknamed "worksheet"
died of a heart attack at the back of the room and nobody knew about
it until the end of the day because classes changes and kids came in
and grabbed their worksheets and started working????
O remember the scene but can't remember the movie.

I have VGA Cables stolen here. It starts out that they tell me the
monitor is broke. I ask the teachers what are they doing while kids
are taking the cables off and walking off with them.

About 4 or 5 times a school year I receive trouble tickets that a
mouse is missing and I go and replace it.
WHAT is the joy about stealing a computer mouse???
