Windows 7 Pro 32bit on a domain. Nothing special, just MS Office Apps, no spyware. AV is up to date, and to test was changed from Symantec 10 to MS Essentials. If the user keeps at her desk and working non stop, the system will run all day long (as long as she does not take at any moment a 15min break) However if you get up and walk away for more than 15 you will come back and the system is locked, mouse moves, but nothing you click will work, CTRL-ALT-DEL does nothing. So far I have done the following... somewhat in this order. Stopped the Screen Saver, then set power management to NEVER shut down Screen or HDD, never sleep, never hibernate. Change the AV software to confirm no background Scans Set MS to never Download updates. Stopped any background Malware scans Shut down MS Indexing service.
