I am in the same place. I am looking to at least move students this year over
and was looking to live.edu, but not if it going to cost.

Each of the FAQ questions end with:
" Availability and pricing for Office 365 will be announced at a future
date."

So are they going to charge for this and are they going to start
charging existing l...@edu users? I'm evaluating both this and Google
but unless MS clarifies this, we're not going with MS. Hopefully Google
doesn't follow MS on this.

Yeah, that wording is pretty vague. If they're going to start charging
for l...@edu type services, why would anyone choose Microsoft over
Google? Thankfully, we're very early in the process of migrating to
l...@edu. Microsoft is going to have to clarify their position and come
out with more details before we move any further along with the process.

Did you notice on the webpage they that pricing will be available soon.
Everything on the live.edu makes sure and let's you know that it is all
free.
