I just spent a few hours on a problem and wanted to share the fix to try to save others.
Problem: Our Supt put a Survey Monkey link on our website for parent night tonight. The link did not work on our student network. I tried everything, Disabling all protocol filter, all mime filters, added a url and IP site bypass to Squid, DG exceptions by url and ip to the five servers they have in their CDN. Everything. Eventually I noticed the link she entered had https. I got rid of the "s" and all worked well. I did find in the Survey Monkey user manual that the do offer as an up-charge of $10 an encryption of the survey entry data and returned results. Just me guessing but they seemed to be blocking our ssl access of the survey but not port 80 access. In the future put out http links to SM, not https.
