i386 uniprocessor build

Hi There,

I tried to comment out MULTIPROCESSOR option in std.i386. However the 
system could not build a kernel without this option (PREEMPTION first as 
a depenedency).

Is there any way to build a kernel for a certain uniprocessor machine 
(old Pentium 3)?
