hello. Given that the system was running fine under 9.2 and you haven't updated anything immediately before it began hanging, I'm inclined to think you have a hardware issue. Some questions:
1. Does the raid card have any battery backed up cache on it? If so, what is the state of the battery? 2. What happens if you pull the battery and try to boot the system? 3. Have you chedked the BIOs of the machine? Perhaps its motherboard battery is going dead and the BIOS settings are corrupt and need to be reset? 4. Is it possible to temporarily disconnect the drives attached to the raid card to see if it boots without the attached disks? 5. Does the behavior persist if you move the raid card to a different PCI slot? -thanks -Brian
