(a) Oops, that should be mount -t foo -o -x=bart /dev/dk0 /mnt (b) This is what I did back in the 1.4T days when I added an option to mount_ffs that allowed making the root point of the mount something further down in the on-disk filesystem than its root. I added an option to mount_ffs, -p PATH, to specify the path within the filesystem to find the root of the mount point.
