Seminar on Development system and Virtual Platform Tools Development Tools RealView Developer Suite is the latest in the well established ARM product family of fully integrated software solutions. This RVDS suit contains leading edge tools for creating and debugging, efficient software to run on any processors based on an ARM architecture. Hardware Platform Solutions ARMs prototyping solutions are suitable for architecture and CPU evaluation, hardware and software design, and ASIC emulation. They allow applications to be developed at near to real system speed, thus reducing the time and risk associated with producing final silicon. Particularly suitable for ASIC emulation, peripheral development, OS porting and writing device drivers, prototyping products provide good visibility by allowing test and debug equipment to be attached. ARM prototyping products are modular so you can add additional logic to expand the design as required. The RealView Integrator family and RealView Versatile family of modular hardware platforms enable early prototyping of ARM based products before real silicon becomes available. Significant reduction in development times can be achieved by enabling system integration and testing, of software and hardware, to begin early in the development flow. The RealView Versatile family provides a highly integrated, feature rich development system, with a flexible multi-layer AHB bus structure. Software Debug Solutions RealView software debug solutions are centered on the two powerful software debuggers, the RealView Developer Suite AXD debugger and the RealView Developer Suite RVD debugger. For connection to prototype hardware or real silicon there are two JTAG run control solutions, RealView Multi-ICE and the RealView RVI. Where the target device implements on board trace components, the JTAG run control products are complemented by the RealView MultiTrace and RealView RVT trace capture solutions. ESL TOOLS One of the hottest topics in embedded system design today is Electronic System Level (ESL) design. ESL describes a SoC design in an abstract enough and fast enough way to explore the design space and provide virtual prototypes for hardware and software implementation. The ESL portfolio consists of three product key products: RealView ESL tools with MaxSim technology: MaxSim technology enables highest simulation performance with full cycle accuracy while allowing extensive debugging of systems and software. MaxSim is the ideal solution for SoC architecture exploration and embedded software development. RealView ESL tools with MaxCore technology: MaxCore is a comprehensive environment for modeling and analysis of processors and processor subsystems. MaxCore uses the powerful C-like LISA language. RealView Model Library incorporating MaxLib model library: RealView Model Library delivers a range of models capable of spanning a SoC design process from architecture definition through to register transfer levels (RTL) verification.
