Well,
Some features in YM 7 will be disabled only when you chat with 
anyone using a non-compatible version.
That is,features like Voice call will be disabled when your friend 
uses YM 6.
But, Webcam feature is working and Joining users in a chat 
conference is also working.
I can't find any serious flaws yet.
There are also lots of  visual enhancements.
