[tech4all] bittorrent and xp firewall

Does the XP firewall resists Bittorrents? I tried to download something but it gives an error message such as   [2005-07-26 19:20:18] "Astitva_25 July.wmv" : Problem connecting to tracker - <urlopen error (7, 'getaddrinfo failed')>   Can anyone help?
