I work in the VLSI domain and i am working in low power IC design related.
Got curious to know whether programming/coding style/structure could help in saving Power consumption in a Microprocessor? Because each instruction in a uP have OPCode & it requires # number of T-States (Machine cycles) and this constitutes power while fetch & execution process.
Similarly if you write a program in high-level language and each command in it is equivalent to set of OPCODEs/ASM instructions. Obviously it will play a role in power.
I did google and found a document saying OOPs concept helps in such power aware programming.

Any more insights/research!
