I don't think an analogy with a low-bandwidth link is apt, unless you  
are extremely pessimistic about Freenet's performance going forward.   
I see no reason why downloads (and uploads) to Freenet should not be  
able to max out a broadband connection.

Anyway, since it is clear that in this discussion I'm in a minority  
(of 1), I will concede the issue.
