I agree with that.

Most new freenet users are afraid by the number of softwares to install 
before being able to use it properly.
I think Frost and FIW are mandatory and easy to add to the package 
because they both use Java.

I don't know about Freemail but I'm sure pm4pigs uses Python.
My opinion is that Frost's private-messaging option is enough for 
starting-up.
