I am with Ian on this one.  Now a 10G datastore is probably overkill.  Its going
to be a long time before 100G is wanted (or can really be handled) let alone
1000G or more.  I strongly suspect that we will have several iterations of 
freenet
between now and then, which gives us ample time to change - if required.
