In Freenet 0.8, we will implement two main new security mechanisms:
1. Premix routing. (privacy)
2. Swap enforcement. (prevention of exploitation of routing)

The problem with this is that in both cases the local network topology
needs to be exposed for a number of hops, (premix routing additionally
requires the network be divided into semi-fixed cells, groups of nodes
for anonymity purposes).

Will this be possible with opennet's constant connection churn? Granted
we can control the rate at which connection churn takes place, however a
certain level will be necessary for the network to approach optimality.

If it is not, then we need to be very careful when implementing hybrid
opennet/darknet; we may even want to keep the networks separate.
