I received this. I responded and explained that whoever it was isn't
associated with us. He said that it looks like whoever is doing this
is using a botnet as they appear from different URLs (but Tor sounds
more likely to me).

Anyone have any ideas?

Ian.

Dear sir,

I would like to file a complaint about your methods of attracting users to
your site.
We as crew of the DrLnet IRC Network do not run our network so you can use
it as a free way for commercials.
I would really appreciate it if you stop using our irc network as a means
of commercial activities without asking our permission.
If this happens more often we will have no choice but to also send this
complaint to your registar and hoster.
I hope this will not happen again, as a chatter you are welcome on our
network but not to spam our users like below.
If this is done without your knowledge or consent then I would like to know
so I can file a complaint with the provider of this user.

[22:54] <zaftxr> Freenet is Peer to Peer software designed to promote
freedom of information over the internet. It is intended to protect
information and its users from censorship, making the information
available and providing a certain level of anonymity to those who
use it. In a sense, it is restoring the orginal form of the internet to the
internet. Not only used to store and access
information, Freenet can also be used to host web sites.
