I received this. I responded and explained that whoever it was isn't associated with us. He said that it looks like whoever is doing this is using a botnet as they appear from different URLs (but Tor sounds more likely to me).
Anyone have any ideas? Ian. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Floris Prins <flo...@sonad.nl> Date: Sat, Jan 31, 2009 at 4:11 PM Subject: Spam Complaint To: ian at freenetproject.org Dear sir, I would like to file a complaint about your methods of attracting users to your site. We as crew of the DrLnet IRC Network do not run our network so you can use it as a free way for commercials. I would really appreciate it if you stop using our irc network as a means of commercial activities without asking our permission. If this happens more often we will have no choice but to also send this complaint to your registar and hoster. I hope this will not happen again, as a chatter you are welcome on our network but not to spam our users like below. If this is done without your knowledge or consent then I would like to know so I can file a complaint with the provider of this user.
