I haven't maintained DNS tables manually for ages even in IPv4.  I do,
however, seriously need to update my DNS package to maintain IPv6
addresses.  http://code.google.com/p/hostdb/

My personal IPv6 hosts are at a VPS who maintains the DNS records for
me, so it is a bit difficult to test.

(I also need to learn enough DNSSEC to make HostDB do that too)
